Primavera
A Primavera inicia às 23h29 do dia 22 de setembro de 2014. Com a chegada da nova estação, há uma mudança no regime de chuvas e temperaturas na maior parte do Brasil. Nas Regiões Centro-Oeste e Sudeste, as chuvas passam a ser mais intensas e freqüentes, marcando o período de transição entre a estação seca e a estação chuvosa. Durante a primavera, iniciam-se as pancadas de chuva no final da tarde ou noite, devido ao aumento do calor e da umidade que se intensificam gradativamente no decorrer desta estação. Em algumas ocasiões, podem ocorrer raios, ventos fortes e queda de granizo. Na Região Sul, ocorrem poucas alterações nos totais mensais de chuva, sendo o regime praticamente uniforme ao longo de todo o ano. Contudo, aumenta a ocorrência de raios e de “complexos convectivos”, sistemas que provocam grande quantidade de chuva em períodos relativamente curtos. No trimestre setembro, outubro e novembro, a maior parte da Região Nordeste encontra-se na sua estação seca, exceto no sul dos Estados do Piauí, Maranhão e no oeste da Bahia. No centro-sul da Região Norte, o período chuvoso inicia-se nos meses de outubro e novembro, com o aumento gradativo das pancadas de chuva e trovoadas. Na primavera, as temperaturas aumentam gradativamente nas Regiões Sul, Sudeste e Centro-Oeste. No Brasil Central, as temperaturas máximas podem atingir valores muito elevados em função da forte radiação solar e da maior freqüência de dias com céu claro. Contudo, neste período, ainda podem ocorrer incursões de massas de ar frio intensas e que podem causar declínio acentuado da temperatura no centro-sul do País. Nas Regiões Norte e Nordeste do Brasil, há pouca variação de temperatura ao longo do ano.

In the Midwest and Southeast, the rains become more intense and frequent, marking the transition period between the dry season and the rainy season. During the spring, the start-up rain showers in the late afternoon or evening, due to increased heat and humidity that intensify gradually during this season. On some occasions, lightning, strong winds and hail can occur. In the South, there are few changes in total monthly rainfall, being practically uniform system throughout the year. However, increases the occurrence of lightning and "convective complexes" systems which cause large amount of rainfall in relatively short periods. In the September, October and November, most of the Northeast is in its dry season, except in the southern states of Piauí, Maranhão and in western Bahia. In south-central North Region, the rainy season begins in October and November, with the gradual increase of rain showers and thunderstorms. In the spring, temperatures gradually rise in South, Southeast and Midwest. In Central Brazil, the maximum temperatures can reach very high values due to the strong solar radiation and higher frequency of days with clear sky. However, this period can still raids intense cold masses of air that can occur and cause sharp decline in temperature in the center-south of the country. In the North and Northeast regions of Brazil, there is little variation in temperature throughout the year.
