Ontem, ao ser visitada por algumas pessoas em minha casa, foi lida a passagem bíblica sobre a doença do Rei Ezequias e a sua cura maravilhosa: "Naqueles dias Ezequias adoeceu de uma enfermidade mortal; e veio a ele o profeta Isaías, filho de Amós, e lhe disse: Assim diz o Senhor: Põe em ordem a tua casa, porque morrerás, e não viverás. Então virou Ezequias o seu rosto para a parede, e orou ao Senhor. E disse: Ah! Senhor, peço-te, lembra-te agora, de que andei diante de ti em verdade, e com coração perfeito, e fiz o que era reto aos teus olhos. E chorou Ezequias muitíssimo. Então veio a palavra do Senhor a Isaías, dizendo: Vai, e dize a Ezequias: Assim diz o Senhor, o Deus de Davi teu pai: Ouvi a tua oração, e vi as tuas lágrimas; eis que acrescentarei aos teus dias quinze anos" (Isaias 38:1-5).

Yesterday, when visited by some people in my house, the biblical passage about the illness of King Hezekiah and his wonderful healing was read: "In those days Hezekiah became ill with a deadly disease, and came to him the prophet Isaiah the son of Amos and said to him, Thus saith the LORD, Set in order thy house shalt die, and not live Then Hezekiah turned his face to the wall, and prayed to the Lord and said,.. O Lord, I pray thee, remember now how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and did that which was right in your eyes and Hezekiah wept sore Then came the word of the Lord to Isaiah, saying,.. Go and tell the Hezekiah, Thus saith the Lord, the God of David thy father: I have heard your prayer and seen your tears; behold, I will add unto thy days fifteen years "(Isaiah 38: 1-5).
