World Violence Awareness Day Against Elderly
The World of Violence Awareness Day against the Elderly, to be observed on 15 June each year, was established in 2006 by the United Nations (UN) and the International Network for the Prevention of Violence the Elderly.
The goal of date, according to the Special Secretariat for Human Rights of the Presidency of Brazil is "to create a global awareness, social and political, of the existence of violence against the elderly, and at the same time, spreading the idea of not accept it as normal. "

Dia Mundial de Conscientização da Violência contra a Pessoa Idosa
O Dia Mundial de Conscientização da Violência contra a Pessoa Idosa, a ser observado em 15 de junho de cada ano, foi instituído em 2006 pela Organização das Nações Unidas(ONU) e pela Rede Internacional de Prevenção à Violência à Pessoa Idosa.
O objetivo da data, segundo a Secretaria Especial dos Direitos Humanos da Presidência da República do Brasil, é "criar uma consciência mundial, social e política, da existência da violência contra a pessoa idosa, além de, ao mesmo tempo, disseminar a idéia de não aceitá-la como normal."
